MADISON COMPREHENSIVE HIGH SCHOOL
#60 - THE ELKS FOUNDATION awards the Most Valuable Student scholarships to seniors who are near the top of their class, active in their schools and communities, and recognized as leaders by their peers. The Legacy awards are given to eligible children and grandchildren of living Elks members. Applications may be downloaded from www.elks.org/enf.schoars
#152 - The Animation Career Review Program offers $1,000 scholarships to seniors who are interested in pursuing an animation career path at an accredited post-secondary school or college. #153 - Scholarships of up to $3500 will be awarded to University of Akron freshman who have been traditionally underrepresented - American Indians, Asian-Americans, African Americans, or first generation college attenders. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA or a 20 ACT composite. Applications are available in the guidance office and must be submitted by 4/1/14.
CHILDREN OF MEMBERS SCHOLARSHIP - $10,000 scholarship awarded to a top senior who has at least a 3.5 GPA, passes a written test and participates in a personal interview.
TOUCHSTONE ENERGY ACHIEVEMENT SCHOLARSHIP - award for student who has overcome challenges in the pursuit of education.
2014 YOUTH TOUR - all expense paid trip to Washington, D.C. for junior or sophomore applicants.
The $5000 Warren Rupp Scholarship will be awarded to a Madison senior who plans to be a full-time college student next fall. To qualify for this award you must be able to show financial need and academic achievement. You must also complete a Richland County Foundation application in addition to the Rupp application. Both these applications are available in the guidance office. The Rupp application must be returned to the guidance office by March 21st and should include:
#29 - The Richland County Foundation Scholarship applications are available in the guidance office. You must have at least a 2.5 GPA and plan to attend a 2-year or 4-year college or university. Applications must include a copy of your Student Aid Report and be submitted by April 1. The scholarship fund is the largest source of financial aid for Madison students so make sure you apply by the deadline.
#69 - Every year the Madison Athletic Boosters
award ten $1,000 scholarships. Applicants must have at a 3.0
and have participated in one or more JV/Varsity sports at
sometime during the ninth through the twelfth grade at
Madison. Applications are available in the guidance office
and are due back in the office by April 9.
Seniors who plan to attend North Central State and who have at least a 3.0 GPA will be considered for the Presidential or Academic Deanís scholarships. Please check with the guidance office to make sure you meet the rank and ACT requirements. If you have not applied, please do so as soon as possible because these awards are made when the applications are received. The College
Foundation will offer other scholarships at a later date.
